NHWA Community Funding Grant
Late last year the Federal Government announced that Neighbourhood Watch Australia had been allocated funding from the Proceeds of Crime. We were successful in gaining a grant to erect NHW signage at strategic points across the mountain.Unfortunately NHWQ withdrew our funding on the basis that we did not meet their project timelines. This was disappointing news, given all that our area had been through with the storms and the clean-up earlier in the year. The focus for Council (responsible for approval of the signage location sites and installation of the signs) was, understandably, on the massive remedial works following the storms and our project slipped in terms of time and priority.
But, all is not lost…. Further Grants are soon to be made available and we will resubmit our application for the signage.
