Heralding the first ever North Tamborine Bike Squad, Senior
Constables Brendan (BJ) Edwards and Scotty (Guru) Guerin prepare for the
first patrols of the tourist route of Tamborine Mountain. With a growth
in strength from five to eight officers, North Tamborine officers now
have the opportunity to patrol the popular tourist strips of Gallery
Walk, Eagle Heights, Main Street and North Tamborine while also
encompassing nearby national park carparks and environs.
All officers at the station are keen to get out there and amongst the public reminscint of the old beat days and face to face policing as it should be. Our bike patrols will primarily be on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as they are the busier tourist days in the shopping and tourist precints where day shifts see enough crew to provide a normal marked police vehicle crew complimented by the new bike squad.
