Sergeant Mick Jones, Officer in Charge of North Tamborine Police Station advises that North Tamborine and Canungra Police divisions are working together to address unlawful entry and burglary offences.
Static traffic interception sites on main feeder roads to either divisions are established in the morning hours from (but not limited to) 9:00am to 11:00am.
Many would think this an unusual time for RBT but the time frames of property offences being committed in the area are during the middle of the day where offenders travel to areas from the busy city centres to commit crime.
It’d be nice to catch them enroute or at least keep them away! Sites such as Beaudesert Beenleigh Road allow police to divert all traffic into interceptions sites where registration, license and RBT’s are conducted.
It’s always a great opportunity to catch up with neighbouring officers and the plethora of unrelated offences detected makes the operation a worthwhile effort in a beautiful part of Queensland!
