Storm season in the Scenic Rim

The storm season is already upon us here in the Scenic Rim with hail having been experienced in several areas last week. Police are encouraging residents to be prepared and be aware when severe weather is heading their way.
Police work closely alongside other local agencies including the councils and SES, as well as others, to help local residents mitigate the adverse effects of a disaster event and prepare for and recover from disasters.
Police encourage residents to follow the Scenic Rim Council’s Facebook page for regular emergency and disaster updates as well as the Bureau of Meteorology page and for updates on the local road closures follow the Scenic Rim Council’s site.
Police remind people to contact the SES on 132 500 for all severe storms or flood related enquiries and remember in an emergency please call triple zero (000).
